Just as the revolutionaries thought they had quelled Comrade Sir Reginald’s counter-revolution by the photocopier, their own forcible overthrow of the previously established social and economic order collapsed.
Passion rather than brains had ruled the rebellion. The end of July is not a good time to replace one ruling class with another. The revolutionaries were due their holiday payments and had long been yearning for their well-earned rest and as their eyes were on the beach and not on the cause, the bob’sbarnablog management team surreptitiously crawled back into power, just as space fills up the holes between molecules.
August is a month for stocktaking and taking stock and the time for the one and only bob’sbarnablog Roadshow (fanfare), which is heading yet again to the Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido (August 7-15) and thereafter to Edinburgh, Scotland (August 17-24). Hopefully the experience will be unforgettable and not one we wish to forget.
So, until the end of the month or the beginning of the following one, bob’sbarnablog bids you farewell, dearest readers, with an unfulfillable quote from Jane Austen.
"What delight! what felicity! You give me fresh life and vigour. Adieu to disappointment and spleen. What are young men to rocks and mountains? Oh! what hours of transport we shall spend!
